Holiday Campaign
#1: Giveaway Something Fun
Once you identify the right social media channels for your business, use them for an excellent holiday giveaway! Everyone loves free stuff (no matter how big or small,) especially if they come around holidays. They can enjoy the present itself or re-gift it; either way, there’s no losing here.
One big tip: do not give away anything with your logo on it unless it’s your product. It’s not as fun to receive a business logo’d fleece as it is to win two tickets to a show at the Weinberg. Think creatively and consider what items would align with your brand. A financial coach could give away a $100 savings bond. A real estate agent could raffle off dinner for two at a local restaurant in their market.
Before you launch, double check the rules on your social media platforms of choice. And make sure you have official rules so that the winners know how they will be contacted.
#2: Conduct a Holiday-Themed Webinar
If your business holds webinars regularly, this could be an excellent opportunity to turn it into a themed one!
A themed webinar will add a fun element to an otherwise basic webinar invite, so make sure you come up with something super creative. Let’s face it, we all get at least ten invites for webinars monthly, and we pay attention exclusively to those that have an attractive vibe about them. The holiday season is your opportunity to shine. If you want to go the extra mile, tempt your audience with a gift such as, say, free shipping on their next order, a holiday discount code or an item from your latest collection.
For example, a health food consultant could host a December webinar titled, “How to Enjoy Holiday Food Without Becoming Santa Claus!”
#3: Get Creative with Video
It’s nerve-wracking to be on video. I know. But if live-streaming intimidates you, try the traditional way!
Recording a video from your phone is a perfect way to communicate a holiday message. Your followers get to see your face and personality, which humanizes your brand. Plus, you can share the video on your social media channels in addition to your email list and on your website.
So, grab a Santa hat and wish your followers Happy Holidays!
#4: Create Festive & Entertaining Display Ads
If you have a designer, It is the perfect time to start working on holiday display ads. If you don’t have one, engage outside resources for this task or try out Canva or PicMonkey.
To create a cheerful connection between your customers and your brand, choose a creative angle, festive images and use 1-2 fonts. A funny spin is also an option because – who doesn’t want a good laugh! Work with the designers to make the ad entertaining, relatable, and festive all at once. (Good designers are worth every penny!)
